Read this before you launch.

Riot Vanguard runs as a kernel driver and is more aggressive than the anti-cheats in most other shooters. The Valorant beta is closed cohort, manual-launch only, and we surface a one-time acknowledgement inside the loader before access is granted. The risk surface is non-trivial — by acknowledging it you confirm you understand that:

  • Account bans are a real outcome — all sales are final.
  • Vanguard signature snapshots can break the build mid-patch.
  • Hardware ID resets are rate-limited inside Vanguard.
  • You will launch the game manually after pre-flight passes.

The in-loader ack persists at%LOCALAPPDATA%\Nimbus\valorant_vanguard_ack.flagand is wiped on Sign Out.
